Would Devin Strader Give Up ‘Bachelorette’ Jenn Tran Over Her Ex?
Fans saw Bachelorette Jenn Tran having to make a decision if she wanted her ex-boyfriend Matt Rossi to join her season of the show. After she told the group of remaining men that she had a big decision to make, emotions were running high. In the moment, Devin Strader said if she chose to let Matt join their journey he would leave the show. Did he really mean it? Keep reading to find out his response.
Would Devin Strader Really Leave Jenn Tran?
Front-runner Devin Strader appeared on Bachelor Happy Hour where he discussed whether or not he would have really left Bachelorette Jenn Tran if she allowed Matt Rossi to stay.
Ultimately, Jenn did send Matt home without giving him a chance. So, all the men were happy she made the right decision. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt asked Devin if he was serious when in the heat of the moment he said he would leave if Matt stayed.
Devin replied that he did mean it. He said, “Oh, yeah, that’s really how I felt. I like to say that I think through a lot of the things that I’m going to say versus just spewing them out. But that was a moment that was just pure emotion for me. I have played ex-games before. It’s been a theme in my life in the past. For me in my mind, I wanted her to have the strength to turn all of that away. I have turned a new chapter in my life and I am putting it all out there for this woman that I want to see where it could go.”
It Was Personal For Him
Devin Strader also revealed that this was all very personal for him. He and Jenn Tran had just come off of a one-on-one date where he admitted he was falling for her.
He was worried that some guy she had dated in the past could just come in and take her away.
So, while he cared for Jenn, if she would have allowed Matt to stay he would really have left. He wouldn’t judge anyone for feeling the way they do and he understands falling into the comfort of being with an ex. However, he said he could choose to not be a part of it if that was the decision she made.
He would have offered her support if she had decided she needed to have Matt there but he would have done it from afar.
