‘Welcome To Plathville’ Olivia Plath Backhands Moriah?
After Olivia Plath and Moriah Plath sit down to hash out some of their qualms, they leave on a good note albeit the relationship is still in disrepair. While the ex-sister-in-laws and ex-bestfriends awkwardly attempt to address the past issues, is it all water under the bridge now? When the latest episode of Welcome To Plathville aired, Olivia made some statements that seemed backhanded toward Moriah.
Moriah And Olivia Plath Discuss The Pain
During the latest episode of Welcome To Plathville, Moriah Plath invited Olivia Plath to meet with her in Minnesota. While the meeting went okay, there was tension between the two. Both Olivia and Moriah still have feelings bubbling to the surface from their previously close relationship. However, they only scrape the scab off their deep wound. Undoubtedly, when feelings are involved, it is difficult to move forward. Although Moriah apologizes to Olivia, it doesn’t get to the root of the issues. While they didn’t find a complete resolution, they started to bridge the gap by at least talking to one another.
Olivia opts to accept her apology but also confronts her for the past. Furthermore, calls her out about Moriah writing “Circus” which refers to their rift. However, after the episode was on TLC, Olivia makes some bold statements in real time that some think was a backhanded slap to Moriah.
Olivia Plath Backhands Moriah?
Shortly after the discussion with Moriah was on TV, Olivia Plath posted several bold statements on her Instagram page. Seemingly, they are hard-hitting backhands directed at Moriah and her family. First, she shoots a post with a comparison of respect in dysfunctional and functional families. Undeniably, echoing her stances against not only her raising but that of the Plath family too.
She Makes Strong Statements
But then Olivia Plath gets even more pointed following her discussion with Moriah. She adds a post with very specific actions that mirror some of the past behaviors of Moriah and the Plath family. One of the big issues between Moriah and Olivia was Moriah’s stance against Olivia calling out Kim Plath for using Ethan Plath’s credit card. Likewise, they had other tensions around money and Moriah even claimed Olivia deleted her music and kept the profits. Without a doubt, Olivia is still feeling the pain of Moriah publically lying about her.
Additionally, during Moriah and Olivia Plath’s conversation, Moriah tries to apologize for her actions. However, she isn’t very specific about what she feels she did wrong so Olivia is skeptical about accepting it. Now, Olivia has posted several times about what is and isn’t an appropriate apology. For instance, one directly matches Olivia’s feelings about why she believes Moriah wants to revisit the past. She believes Moriah’s apology was more about making Moriah feel better than accepting responsibility.
Undoubtedly, when there are hurt feelings, hearing any apology can be difficult. But Olivia Plath seems to be willing to accept Moriah’s words as a way to allow her to make mistakes and learn. However, she wants to see behavior changes in the future.
Likewise, Olivia adds other examples perhaps attempting to educate others about the slyness of empty apologies.
Moving On
After Olivia Plath shows her stance on dysfunctional families and apologies, she adds a repost from a TikTok that hits home for her. Undeniably, Olivia resonates with the statement, “I would rather adjust my life to your absence than adjust my boundaries to accommodate your disrespect.” This seems to be what Olivia is living by in her life transition away from the Plaths.
What do you think? Is Olivia Plath backhanding Moriah after discussing the past? Do you think Olivia is posting without any intentions of affecting Moriah? Do you think their problems are resolved? Are you enjoying this season of Welcome To Plathville? Drop your comments below.
