Yellowstone: Taylor Sheridan Universe Continues To Add More Pieces
No matter which universe you are attempting to build, one thing that viewers love about television series is that you have a lot more episodes and a lot more hours to flesh out a story than you would with a traditional film format. In this aspect, Taylor Sheridan has been able to meticulously craft his Yellowstone universe, adding new pieces to the larger puzzle with each new spinoff.
Viewers fell in love with the Dutton family and their rich history in Montana from the moment the first season of Yellowstone aired. With the conclusion of Season 5B coming in November, many fans are sad about the series that started it all coming to a close. Luckily, there are plenty of spinoffs to keep the story going.
Michelle Pfeiffer Takes Lead Role In New Spinoff
The new Yellowstone series, called Madison, will feature Hollywood veteran Michelle Pfeiffer taking the reins in a lead role. As of this writing, Pfeiffer appears to be the only official member of the new cast. However, there have been reports that this new series is close to landing Kurt Russell in a significant role as well.
Michelle Pfeiffer is an industry powerhouse who has been a Hollywood leading lady for decades. Landing someone of her caliber in a significant role is certainly a feather in the cowboy hat of Taylor Sheridan and the continued story he wants to tell with his Yellowstone franchise.
Yellowstone: Paramount Execs Love Michelle Pfeiffer In Lead Role
Of course, Yellowstone is no stranger to landing top talent to set foot on Dutton Ranch. Kevin Coster led the series for years before contract disputes, issues in his personal life, and filming on his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga, took him away.
In light of that, Paramount execs are over the moon to have another A-lister like Michelle Pfeiffer join this new spinoff. In a recent press release, a top exec at Paramount talked about what it means to land Pfeiffer for this new spinoff.
They said: “Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace.”
The exec went on to add: “She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.”

Unlike other Yellowstone spinoffs, Madison takes place in the present. So, that will be a different facet compared to the other shows that recount events from the past.
There have been rumors that this new spinoff could premiere at some point in 2025. So, it’ll be worth keeping an eye on this as the Yellowstone universe continues to expand.
