Carrie has a big fanbase who cannot wait to watch her on the show. Katy Perry revealed that she was going to be leaving to focus more on her music. Lionel Richie has revealed his feelings about Carrie Underwood being the new judge.
“It makes a lot of sense, it’s not someone we have to get used to. And the fact that she has a great story, she came from American Idol. What a great judge now we don’t have to explain anymore, ‘We know how you feel.’ As artists, we know how you feel, but we’ve never been in that oval that says, ‘American Idol.’ She’s been there, done that. Just be a ham sandwich like the two of us, welcome to the ham sandwich squad.”
He seems happy to be working with Carrie. She also knows how it is to be a contestant. She knows what it takes to win, and this will help contestants out a lot. Carrie is the perfect fit for the job at hand.
It seems as though Lionel is happy to be judging with Carrie. He thinks she is a great fit for the team. However, she may get a headache or two after having to deal with him and Luke.
