Julie Chrisley Does Not Want To Attend Her Resentencing Hearing
Julie Chrisley does not want to attend her resentencing hearing. Fans were shocked when they heard this. This could be the biggest moment of her life. However, she does not want to attend in person. It has been revealed why she did not want to attend and what she is going to do instead of attending in person. Keep reading to find out more about the situation.
Chrisley’s Go To Prison
Todd and Julie Chrisley are currently in federal prison. This is for tax evasion and fraud. However, Julie may be able to get out earlier than she originally thought. This is due to them not having enough evidence to prove that she was involved. Savannah is hoping to have Julie home soon. Todd’s top priority is getting Julie home. He wants her to be with her family and be able to live her life. He would rather her get out first.
Julie Chrisley Does Not Want To Attend
Julie does not want to attend her court hearing. It is taking place in Atlanta. She is currently in Kentucky.
“Because Mrs. Chrisley is presently in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) outside the state of Georgia, BOP likely would transfer her via the transfer facility in Oklahoma City or place her in a van for a lengthy, multiple-hour trip while shackled to facilitate her appearance in court. Either option would remove Mrs. Chrisley from FMC Lexington for an unnecessarily extended period of time and impose undue physical hardship on her.”
The court then decided she could join via video call.
“Undersigned counsel has corresponded with Mrs. Chrisley’s case manager at FMC Lexington and confirmed that she can be made available to appear remotely for her hearing via video conference, in this manner, Mrs. Chrisley can participate in the proceedings fully.”
Julie will be attending over a video call from Kentucky. Fans are wishing her the best. This is an important time for her and her family.
It seems that Julie did not want to travel over 400 miles. However, fans do not blame her for not wanting to travel that far if she can attend online. She would have to be shackled in a prison van for hours on hours. Or she would have to go to a transfer facility. It seems like a lot of physical hardship that she does not need to endure if she can attend via video chat. What did you think about her not attending in person? Sound off in the comments below.
