Which Olympians Could Join ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 33?
Right now, all eyes are on the Paris Olympics and the talented athletes competing for the top honors. Before long, they will return home. Many will go on to appear on talk shows and possibly other competition shows. And of course, Dancing With The Stars likely has an eye on many of the athletes.
As soon as they leave Paris, some may head straight for Los Angeles to begin rehearsals.
Many former Olympians have had incredibly successful runs on Dancing With The Stars so far. Medal-winning gymnasts Suni Lee and Simone Biles have both competed in the past.
But which athletes could appear on Season 33 this fall?
Dancing With The Stars Season 33 Could Feature Many Athletes
So far, no contestants have been confirmed for DWTS Season 33. However, many fans strongly believe Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce will compete.
But he’s not the only athlete fans have on their wish list. As the Paris Olympics continues, many viewers would love to see the brave athletes enter the ballroom too. From swimmers to volleyball and every sport in between, many would have a blast giving ballroom dance a try.
This year, there is no shortage of talented athletes that could join. But right now, many believe Olympian rugby player Ilona Maher might be on the roster.
According to Reddit users, she recently started following the Dancing With The Stars Instagram account. In the past, that’s been a very telling sign that someone is in talks to join the competition.
“Ilona Maher just recently followed the DWTS Instagram account 👀👀” one Redditor posted online recently. Other Reddit users voiced their excitement, writing:
- “If this ends up happening and they give her a partner that doesn’t suck…PREPARE TO BE SICK OF ME”
- “Would love them to do an all Olympian season!”
- “I love her! She is awesome!”
Who Else Might Get A Shot To Compete In The Ballroom?
Former Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson won DWTS Season 8. Many viewers would love to see another gymnast take home the Mirrorball Trophy. Jordan Chiles of the US Women’s team as well as Frederick Richard and Stephen Nedoroscik from the US Men’s team are other names making their rounds around the internet.
Stephen Nedoroscik is better known as the “pommel horse guy” and won the internet’s heart.
