Jenn Tran Reveals Reason Brett Harris Went Home Night One
Bachelorette Jenn Tran disappointed a lot of fans when she sent fan favorite Brett Harris home on night one of her journey. When the cast list for Jenn’s season was announced, fans were excited because Brett was the first body-diverse contestant on the show. Plus, they all loved his personality. Now, Jenn is defending her reasons for sending him home that first night. Keep reading to find out more.
Jenn Trans Defends Sending Brett Harris Home
Bachelorette Jenn Tran says she is taking her journey as the lead very seriously and wants to find her person. It turns out that person is not Brett Harris. He was a fan favorite based on his personality and also because he didn’t fit the mold of a typical contestant on the show.
So, with his charming personality, why did Jenn send him home? She shared with Nick Viall on The Viall Files that she just didn’t feel a strong connection with him. When Nick asked her about it she defended her decision.
Jenn said, What good is that going to do for him if I keep him around knowing [how I felt]?” She continued, “I never hated him. I think he’s an amazing guy and so funny and sweet and charming.”
She also said she wished him nothing but the best. Jenn also noted that she’s glad people are giving him the attention because he deserves it.

Jenn went on to say, “Unfortunately, I don’t think it does anybody any good to just keep them around for the sake of a show because, for me, it wasn’t a show. It was my life.”
She’s Happy He’s Moved On
Nick Viall also interviewed Brett Harris on his podcast and told Jenn Tran that he doesn’t still carry a torch for The Bachelorette.
She responded saying she was glad to hear it. Jenn shared that she knows he will do great things and is glad to see that it’s already happening.
Nick also confronted Jenn about her connection with some of the other guys. Plus, he asked about the drama she’s now seeing play out on screen. She was shocked at the drama and wished she would have known it was going on.
Jenn wouldn’t give up any spoilers for her season but did say she is happy with the way things play out for her. It’s yet to be seen if she falls in love and gets engaged.
