Nicole Walker Gets Her Happily Ever After

Nicole Walker burst onto the scene in Salem in 1998. She quickly made a connection to Eric Brady (then played by future Supernatural star Jensen Ackles) and began her scheming ways.

Fans loved to hate on Nicole as she became the town vixen, even going so far as stealing Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) baby and passing it off as her own. However, Nicole’s storyline took her through many heartbreaking experiences over the years that caused the character to soften and fans to soften toward her.

After years of wanting to bear a child of her own, Nicole found herself pregnant with a miracle baby and assumed E.J. (Dan Feuerriegel) was the father. She has another child, Holly, who was conceived through a surrogate. But Nicole was told her baby died after she delivered him.

Viewers knew that her baby was perfectly healthy and in the arms of Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) and Eric (Greg Vaughan.) Sloan stole the baby and kept the paternity a secret. Eric was the baby’s father, not E.J.

The truth slowly came out and now Eric and Nicole know they have a child together. They decided to skip town and move to Paris to avoid E.J.’s threats.

The relocation means both Arianne Zucker and Greg Vaughan are leaving the soap. But Nicole finally got her happily ever after with Eric that she always dreamed of. Some fans were concerned the soap might recast the role of Nicole.

Arianne Zucker was also sad to say goodbye to the character she played off and on for nearly three decades. Her exit is especially difficult due to the circumstances. She’s currently embroiled in a lawsuit with the show’s production company and former producer Albert Alarr for alleged sexual harassment. Alarr was fired from the soap in 2023.

The actress took to her Instagram to share a heartfelt message with fans and a look back to her years as Nicole Walker.

I loved my job. I loved my friends. I loved my co-workers, but most of all I love all of you…From the bottom of my heart and beyond, I can’t thank you enough for loving to hate Nicole and for loving her again as she changed in life with all of you. Thank you for being a part of my journey.”
