‘Dexter’ Michael C Hall Details Return After Bombshell Comic Con Reveal
The Dexter universe just got a major boost, with Michael C. Hall reprising his role in a new spinoff, called Resurrection. Recently, the fan-favorite actor dished on what viewers can expect as the universe continues to expand with new entries.
Dexter: Many Fans Agree That Michael C. Hall Is The Only One Right For The Role
For those keeping up with the Dexter universe and all of its entries, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming prequel series which is currently in production. This prequel takes viewers back to Miami in the early 90s, as it shows how Dexter got his start.
As much as there is interest in this Original Sin prequel, already, there has been a lot of backlash from loyal fans of the franchise as well. The way that many Dexter fans see things, no one else can step into the shoes of Dexter Morgan besides the actor who originally brought him to life, Michael C. Hall.
Another Dexter Entry Announced At Recent Comic-Con
Dexter fans were in for a treat, as it was recently announced during an Original Sin Comic-Con panel that Michael C. Hall would be lending his voice to narrate the prequel. If that were not enough, he is also returning to reprise his role in a new series, Dexter: Resurrection.
Resurrection will pick up right where New Blood left off. So, for any Dexter fans clamoring for Michael C. Hall to reprise his iconic role, the top execs were paying attention, and that wish for him to return will become a reality.
Michael C. Hall Details What Fans Can Expect From Resurrection
In a recent interview with Variety, Hall said that his decision to reprise his role as Dexter Morgan isn’t a choice he made “lightly.” He went on to say that, over the course of several conversations, everyone felt that there was “more to explore” with the character.
Hall went on to say how surprised everyone is with how much interest there still is in the character. In his words, “how fertile the soil remains.”
New Blood ended with Dexter bleeding out in the snow, and many thought that the beloved anti-hero was dead for good. However, with the announcement of the expansion of the Dexter universe with Resurrection, that is clearly not the case at all.
Michael C. Hall went on to add that Resurrection will “pick up right where we left off.” So, there is a lot for viewers to look forward to as the universe expands with Original Sin, Resurrection, and of course, the return of Michael C. Hall to the role that many wholeheartedly believe no one else should play. Viewers can expect this new installment in the summer of 2025.
