I’m not sure how Jim Bob thinks he can overturn Josh’s conviction no matter how much money he planks down unless he’s planning to hire someone to break him out of jail. The Supreme Court rejecting his appeal is pretty much the end of the road.
I find it difficult to believe that Josh is now threatening to write a tell all book that would be damaging to the family. First off, I can’t see him wanting to risk his parents’ wrath when they are the ones who are supporting his family while he’s cooling his heels behind bars. Secondly, he’s seen what his father does to family members who speak out against the family. I just don’t see him risking falling out of favor with his father especially if he’s a true believer in the IBLP, which let’s face it, why wouldn’t he be? According to that blasphemous “cult” he isn’t to blame for any of his crimes, affairs, or other un-Godly behavior. There is always a woman or women to blame because men never do anything wrong according to Bill Gothard. I’m sure in all their sick minds even though they swear up and down that he isn’t guilty, secretly they blame Josh’s crimes on his victims…the children that were exploited not only by Josh but countless others. Is it any wonder that so many degenerates, perverts, and morally bankrupt men latch on to these fundamentalist Christian groups? These groups basically give men permission to behave as badly as they want to without fear of repercussions because there are always females to blame. It’s appalling!!!
