Brian Dietzen Shares NCIS Season 22 Social Media Post
On Thursday, Brian Dietzen shared an Instagram post that thrilled fans of The Mothership. It was a photo of his hand holding his Dr. Jimmy Palmer glasses in front of an NCIS badge. He wrote, “These are going on my face now. Hello Jimmy Palmer. Welcome back everyone! #NCIS #Season22”
That is because NCIS Season 22 is now in production. Best of all, the fans are thrilled. One responded, “WELCOME BACK JIMMY PALMER.” A second posted, “Can’t wait to see y’all back in action!!!!”
However, some fans are concerned that the whole NCIS team will not make it back. They even shared that fear in the comments.

Fans Ask If Jimmy Palmer Is Leaving Series
Responding to Brian Dietzen’s post ushering in NCIS Season 22, a fan asked “I read that Jimmy Palmer was leaving is this true?
Brian responded, “nope!”
However, there have concerns that Katrina Law won’t be returning. While Brian Dietzen’s post said “everyone,” it is her character Jessica Knight who may be taking a job far away. Jimmy put his own feelings aside and told her to take her dream job. Will she go? Is Katrina Law leaving the series?
Meanwhile, Katrina’s social media shows her enjoying a strawberry balsamic glaze black pepper ice cream. That sounds like a vacation treat, not from the craft services table. However, this could be a red herring. Fans will just have to watch the premiere to see if she is still on the series.
When Does NCIS Season 21 Premiere?
The premiere of NCIS Season 22 is on Monday, October 14, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on CBS. Right afterward is the premiere of the spinoff prequel NCIS: Origins. This is the prequel that is about Leroy Jethro Gibbs’s early days at the organization in the 1990s. Mark Harmon is narrating this series. In addition, he, along with his son Sean Harmon, are executive producers. As this is a new series, they will have a supersized first episode. That means it will premiere at 9 p.m., Eastern.
However, after the first week, the OG will air at 9 p.m., Eastern, while Origins will air at 10 p.m., Eastern, on CBS. Both shows will be available the next day on Paramount+.
