After that, he received the opportunity to have his own show, The Bob Newhart Show. This kickstarted his acting career. Many other shows were to follow, including The Ed Sullivan Show, The Big Bang Theory, and Bob, George, and Leo. He made his movie debut in Hell is for Heroes.
