Will Countdown To Christmas 2024 Be On The Hallmark+ Streaming Channel?

Ever since the TCA Summer 2024, fans of the feel-good network have been talking about the new streaming service Hallmark+. The rebranding will happen in mid-September, just a month before the 15th anniversary of Countdown To Christmas. Will the new App change how viewers watch Christmas movies?

According to Lisa Hamilton Daly, who spoke to Variety, shared, “Countdown to Christmas remains a linear experience.” That means that Christmas movies will air on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery.

The content on the App is going to be Holidazed, Mistletoe Murders, our unscripted shows, and a couple of movie trilogies coming up that we haven’t announced yet. There’s going to be a bunch of holiday content, but it’s going to be separate and different from what’s on linear.”

That means that viewers will find holiday movies where they have found them every season.

Hallmark+ Christmas Content

Although the rebranded Hallmark+ will not be streaming the Countdown To Christmas movies, there will be plenty of Christmas content. This starts out with the highly anticipated series Holidazed.

This new series stars an ensemble cast including Ser’Darius Blain, Lindy Booth, Erin Cahill, Osric Chau, Nazneen Contractor, Loretta Devine, Noemi Gonzalez, Ian Harding, Dennis Haysbert, Rachelle Lefevre, Virginia Madsen, John C. McGinley, Holland Roden, and Lucille Soong.

This series is about six diverse families who live in the same Oregon cul-de-sac. It is Christmas, therefore, things can be a bit messy. That includes dealing with difficult parents, or your brother’s girlfriend who was your high school bully. There is new love, as well as long-time married couples. Most of all, this is about love.

The second holiday series is Mistletoe Murders. This stars Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney. This is a holiday mystery series based on the Audible podcast. More information is coming soon.

Hallmark fans, are you relieved that Countdown To Christmas will be on the OG channels?
