Wendy Williams’ Family Prepares For ‘Sad’ Birthday Celebration
Friends and family of Wendy Williams were preparing to throw her a huge party for her 60th birthday today. Unfortunately, they are still not able to get in touch with the former talk show host, nor do they know where she is located. A source opened up about how the family is dealing with the sad day.
Wendy Williams Won’t Get To See Her Family For Her Bday
Wendy Williams’ birthday is July 18. This year, she’s hitting a big milestone – her 60th birthday. Of course, Wendy’s family won’t be able to spend the day with her this year.
A source told In Touch Weekly that they are heartbroken over it. “It’s all very sad that no one can reach her to wish her a happy birthday,” they said. “Wendy loved parties. Her birthday was a big deal for her!”
Last year, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and progressive aphasia. According to her representatives, she has been relocated to a cognitive facility and is being cared for by professionals.
However, the former daytime talk show host’s family is not permitted to visit with her and they don’t have a number where they can reach her. In fact, they don’t even know where she is. Any time they hear from Wendy she calls them from a blocked number and her court-appointed guardian is on the line.

That has not stopped fans from celebrating the Queen of daytime television on social media though. Numerous people wrote on X to wish Wendy Williams a happy birthday.
One X user wrote, “Happy 60th birthday to our messy aunt, Wendy Williams. We love and miss seeing you on our TVs. Hot topics and pop culture just aren’t the same without you. Sending you lots of love today.”
Another wrote, “Happy 60th birthday to the iconic Wendy Williams.” A third person posted, “Happy birthday to the legendary Wendy Williams…wishing you good health and many more birthdays.”

Earlier this year, Wendy’s story was catapulted to the front page of nearly every publication. The Lifetime docuseries Where Is Wendy Williams? showed the former daytime TV star seemingly descending into madness.
In the series, Wendy was shown drinking a lot and she oftentimes seemed confused about what was going on. For many fans, it was a heartbreaking thing to watch. Shortly before the docuseries was released in February, Wendy’s dementia diagnosis was shared with the public.
Many people have wondered if Wendy was already dealing with the effects of the disease when the Lifetime series was being produced. However, her team permitted filming to continue.
It is not known how Wendy will spend her birthday. Unfortunately, she does not interact with people online or make any public appearances anymore.
