Family Feud Is Never Afraid To Mix It Up
As Family Feud watchers saw with the recent celebrity edition of the program, the game show is never afraid to mix things up. When you have been around for almost 50 years as a game show, and when you’re as much a part of public consciousness as Family Feud is, it’s always good to mix things up to keep them fresh.
One of the ways that Family Feud does this is by introducing different aspects to the game, like inviting celebrities on to compete. The show did this recently with Megan Thee Stallion. Not surprisingly, it was a big hit with watchers.
Steve Harvey Criticized For Exaggerating?
Some Family Feud watchers have criticized Steve Harvey for his over-the-top reactions to things like the contestants and the answers they give on the show. The way some fans see it, Steve Harvey sells it a bit too much at times, dialing up his behavior a few notches for the sake of good television.
While it may be true that Steve Harvey puts a little extra in, most viewers love his reactions. No matter what comes up, Harvey always has a memorable facial expression or a witty comeback in his back pocket. Steve Harvey has made a career out of entertaining people. So, even though some people aren’t fans of him being extra, the vast majority love the comedian and host.
Family Feud: Harvey Stares Down Player After Bathroom Response
Reading off a recent survey question on the Family Feud set, Steve Harvey said: “Name a place that always has a long bathroom line.”
Without hesitation, a contestant said: “Chik-fil-A.”
Steve Harvey looked this woman dead in the face with a blank expression on his, almost as though he could not believe her response. The player then clarified that she had to “say something.”
Luckily for her, they gave it to her under the category of “Restaurant.” However, even though her answer was technically on the board, it was lower on the totem pole of responses.
Rubbing salt into the wound even more, her opponent answered with: “A ballgame.” This turned out to be the number-one response, as “Sports Venue” was the top answer overall.
Chik-fil-A may not have been a popular answer, but, this response made its way into being a viral clip that many fans of the show have been watching.
