Jenn Tran - The Bachelorette

While the new season of The Bachelorette is fully underway, Jenn Tran’s men are being branded as the “Oddest in history” for Bachelor Nation. After the second episode aired, many people were talking about how strange this season was already and believe Jenn deserves better.

Jenn Tran Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places

Although some people weren’t looking forward to Jenn Tran as the new Bachelorette others wanted to see her find her match. Now that the season has aired two episodes, some fans think Jenn deserves a redo. While Jenn is familiar with the process of finding love on reality TV since she was vying for love with Bachelor Joey Graziadei, now the shoe is on the other foot. Initially, when selected as the first Asian American Bachelorette, she said, “I’m looking for someone who has a really big personality. I want someone who has that kind of banter.” As she gets further acquainted with the men for the season, she has to remind them to think of her in their actions. Following the second episode, people think Jenn deserves better.

Why Jenn Tran’s Men Are Branded ‘Oddest In History’

On July 8, the newest season of The Bachelorette kicked off with a fresh batch of 25 men looking to win Jenn Tran’s heart. At the end of the July 15 episode, only 15 men remain. But Jenn had to weed through drama to decide who she would keep on the journey. Undeniably, Season 21 Episode 2 gives a glimpse of the character of some of the men.

One person’s character in question is Aaron Erb, some pin him as this season’s villain. While he was addressing unworthy behavior from his adversary, Devin Strader, he pulled out a trick from his twin brother, Noah Erb’s Bachelor season. After Devin monopolized Jenn’s time during the group date by pulling her away for an ice cream date, he quickly became the butt of the joke during the comedy night.

Jenn Tran Is Having To Sort Through The Drama

Unquestionably, Devin wasn’t there to make friends. He stole Jenn Tran away multiple times causing grudges among the competitors. Furthermore, Aaron feels like Devin’s aggressive method of connecting with Jenn is keeping him from the opportunity to connect with her. Without a doubt, Aaron didn’t mince words with addressing issues with Devin. He feels Devin isn’t a worthy opponent and believes he is there for the wrong reasons. He thinks Devin should back off.

Aaron tells Devin, “In my mind I’m like, you pulling Jenn aside, taking time away from me is like, I don’t want you wasting Jenn’s time either.” Devin disagrees and says he is there to win her over and isn’t letting Aaron deter him. Devin replies, “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t feel like I was fit for Jenn.” Additionally, Aaron calls him a “boy” and lets him know that Jenn needs a man. Then, Aaron pulls out a book to offer Devin some “self-help” for his arrogance. This was a familiar reference from Noah’s season when Bennett Jordan gave him a similar book.

  • One person comments, “Aaron continuing his fraternal twin emotional intelligence legacy was not in my bingo card.”

Lady In Waiting

But Devin thinks he has the last laugh with Aaron when he wheels in a cart with specially prepared vanilla ice cream to hijack Aaron’s time with Jenn Tran. But they play tug of war back and forth with her.

Additionally, Thomas N. also joins the fight by confronting Devin for putting himself above the group after agreeing the eight men who didn’t get time should have a chance. But in the end, Jenn was more upset by the men putting their drama above her and the limited time they had to get to know each other.

  • “Not a fan of you Devin,” someone comments on Instagram. “Your [sic] most likely told to act the way ur portraying urself.”
  • Referencing another time Devin pulls a trump card with Jenn Tran, “After all the Devin drama, he STILL goes on to highjack Jenn’s toast.” It was talking about the moment Devin jumped at the chance to steal Jenn away while she was still raising a glass with the rest of the guys.
  • Someone thinks Aaron is acting out of jealousy, “Aaron is being sensitive cause he didn’t do what Devin did.” Further adding, “If the tables were turned, Aaron would have acted like Devin did…but worse.”

  1. Most unattractive group of men in Bachelorette history. The franchise wasted their money going to Australia with this group of Average Joes and I feel like Jenn is struggling to have fun with these nerds

  2. Yes what a strange bunch of men. The only one that seems like a good catch so far is the medical student / I don’t remember his name. Devin and Aaron need to go! The drama takes up too much air time and it’s not even good drama. Quite petty.

  3. I thought I was just being picky but I couldn’t agree more. What a strange bunch!
Devon, really! Dont’t you think he’s a little immature? No, make that a lot immature. He interrupts constantly. He may have read “Self Help” books but he obviously didn’t understand them. Loser!
