Jenna Bush Hager Is Starring In New Hallmark Christmas Movie
On Thursday, The Today Show announced that one of their own is going to star in an upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie. Jenna Bush Hager was all smiles as she walked in all decked out in a Kansas City Chiefs jersey dress with Travis Kelce’s number on it. To complete her look, she wore a Santa hat. In her hand was the script for the upcoming Hallmark movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. She is going to be in this new holiday movie!
Jenna shared, “Here’s the script, but it’s top secret.” Then she added, “First of all, I thought it was about Taylor [Swift] and Travis [Kelce], and I thought, ‘I got the Taylor role.’ But I didn’t – shocker!”
Savannah Guthrie was full of questions when she heard her co-star had to memorize lines. She asked, “Do you have to memorize a lot of stuff?” Jenna joked, “Well, a lot is – again, I thought it was Taylor, that isn’t happening – a lot is kind of an exaggeration.”
As they have already started filming this movie in the Kansas City area, Jenna is headed there soon. But, she didn’t reveal much. She shared that she “maybe” will have a romantic scene. But, she didn’t say anything about her part.
Then, she referred to another former Today star who found success with Hallmark. “Do y’all think I’ve turned into Kathie Lee [Gifford]?” Who knows? Maybe Jenna Bush Hager will revive the Godwink series.

Although Jenna did not reveal anything about the script, the feel-good network has already shared some basics about this upcoming holiday movie. The new Hallmark and Kansas City Chiefs movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story is about a Chiefs superfan who falls in love with a member of the Chief’s promotional staff. Starring in this movie are Hunter King, Tyler Hynes, and Ed Begley Jr., as the grandfather.
In this new Christmas movie, Alana Higman comes from a family of diehard Kansas City Chiefs fans. They have years of cheering on their favorite team. This also means they have a collection of lucky hats and other treasures the family holds dear. They need these tokens to help bring their team good luck.
Now the Higman family is up for “Fan Of The Year.” The Higmans are one of three finalists. Now, Derrick, the media guy from the Chiefs, has to see if this family makes the cut. Soon, Alana and Derrick spend more and more time together. They have a spark, and this could be something more.
However, disaster strikes when her grandpa’s lucky vintage Chief’s hat goes missing. Now, Alana starts to question luck, fate, and if she has found love. But, thanks to some Christmas magic, all may turn out better than expected.
