Hallmark-Chiefs Holiday Movie Needed Extras With ‘Elvis Hair’
Everyone has been talking about the big Hallmark Christmas movie entitled Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. This stars Hunter King, Tyler Hynes, and Ed Begley Jr. in the network’s first collaboration with the NFL. Travis Kelce’s mom Donna Kelce has a role in this movie. In addition, so does Jenna Bush Hager.
This movie is filmed in the network’s hometown of Kansas City, the same place where the Chiefs play. Moreover, this movie used a lot of locals for crowd scenes and other parts.
However, one of those extras shared something that has not been widely reported. They revealed that the feel-good network was looking for extras with Elvis hair. What else did they reveal?
Hallmark Chiefs Movie Needed Extras With ‘Elvis Hair’
The upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story has had a lot of press surrounding it. That is because there is so much buzz about Travis Kelce’s mom Donna starring in it. Also, many wonder whether Taylor Swift will show up in a cameo.
However, one of the big surprises is what one extra shared. According to Yahoo Canada, who shared an article from The Kansas City Star, one extra was interviewed about this experience. They spoke to Alex Gold, a morning co-host on the KCSP show Cody and Gold. Gold was cast as an extra in this movie.
Although he admits that “You might see the back of my head for five seconds,” he signed a non-disclosure agreement. Therefore, the radio host could not share many details. Also, he shared that there was “nothing to spoil anyway.”
However, he may have shared something interesting that could give clues to this storyline. Alex shared that they needed people with “longer hair.” He continued, “Think Grease, Beatles or Elvis look.” What could this mean? Perhaps the movie synopsis can shed a clue?
What Is Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story About?
Why would the new Hallmark Christmas movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story need extras with Elvis or Beatles hair? Perhaps the synopsis holds a clue?
This movie is about Alana Higman, who is a Chiefs superfan. Her family is one of three finalists for the team’s Fan Of The Year contest. Therefore, the team’s fan engagement director Derrick is there to help them figure out who is the winner. Alana and Derrick find romance together.
However, when her grandfather’s vintage Chiefs hat goes missing, Alana’s belief in good luck and fate is tested.
Is it possible that this vintage hat was from the Chiefs’ first Super Bowl win against the Vikings in 1970? Could the longer hair mean that they are doing a flashback scene? Maybe this scene is when her grandfather wore the hat and watched the team play? Could that be possible?
Hallmark fans, why do you think Hallmark needed extras with Elvis hair? Please share your best guess.
