When the new season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter began on Thursday, May 30th, much of the cast gathered for Jade Cline’s wedding. She and Sean Austin were finally tying the knot and Amber Portwood was going to be in attendance. She was showing up with her ex-fiance and first baby daddy, Gary Shirley. At the same time, she had moved back into the home she previously shared with her ex and second baby daddy, Andrew Glennon. She had not lived there since he was in town but had since moved to California with their son, James. It appeared that she was ready for a fresh start.
At the end of the wedding, Amber was kissing one of Jade’s female friends and even left with her. Of course, this week, the girls wanted to know what had happened. That was when she introduced her new man, Gary. She even brought him up at Leah’s 15th birthday dinner. Now, according to Us Weekly, Amber and Gary are apparently engaged to be married. Per an insider, this just happened within the last two weeks and the ring was crafted from “a family stone that was reset into a new ring.”
Amber Portwood is said to be extremely happy. More so, she and Gary are already working hard to ensure they make it:
“They’ve been in couple’s therapy and talk about everything. They’re being very proactive in their relationship and are doing the work to prevent problems before they start.”
It seems she has learned from her mistakes but not everyone is so sure about that. She is already saying she would like to have a third child. Yet, she does not have custody of her first two so that is a struggle.
