‘Below Deck’ Ashling Lorger Announces Cancer Diagnosis
Below Deck star Ashling Lorger has revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world. Ashling was a cast member on the show for just one season, but she made her mark on the series and remains a popular former member of the cast. That makes this revelation tough for her fans.

Below Deck’s Ashling Lorger Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
Ashling Lorger appeared in Below Deck Season 8 on My Seanna. She was a 3rd Stewardess for six episodes and then as the Stewardess for the next eight episodes of that season. She didn’t return for Season 9 when Jessica Albert and Kaylee Milligan took over as the 3rd Stewardess that season.
Ashling started her career as a hairdresser, She even owned her own business by the age of 19. However, she wanted to travel and she trained to work on yachts. This led to her joining Below Deck two years after starting her dream job. She was also more professional than many other cast members, as she wanted to do her job to the best of her ability and didn’t actively try to date or hook up with other cast members.
There are also rumors that Ashling could return for Below Deck Down Under Season 3. However, first, she had some tough times to deal with as she officially revealed she has skin cancer.
Ashling Lorger Wants To Spread Awareness
The former Below Deck star took to Instagram to let people know about her skin cancer diagnosis. She offered up a trigger wanting first. he then revealed that she wanted to help spread awareness of skin cancer and the dangers of the sun and not getting regular check-ups.

“Today marks 12 months since I was diagnosed with melanoma and underwent 2 margin procedures, 3 skin checks, and 2 additional biopsies (which were thankfully negative).” she wrote. Ashling said the fear she faced was intense and she feels everyone should do regular skin checks to protect themselves from this terrible disease.
“It only takes an hour of your time and can potentially save your life,” she said. “Tanning is not healthy or beautiful. It’s not worth the wrinkles; the scars; let alone your life.”
This led to her fans commenting and giving her words of encouragement.
