Michaela Bates Shares Deep Struggles Amid Medical Condition
Bringing Up Bates star Michaela Bates Keilen has been getting a lot of sympathy from fans due to her struggles to have a child with Brandon. The 34-year-old is currently the oldest daughter of Gil and Kelly Jo to have no child after years of marriage. She’s been in touch with the fans throughout her YouTube content, where she makes art with some of her younger siblings. Michaela recently took to YouTube to share her latest project with some of her nephews and nieces. The Bringing Up Bates star taught the kids how to make puffy paint crafts. She also made sure that most of the materials were cheap and easy to find. Michaela later showed the final results of the kids’ art, which turned out successfully. This wasn’t the first time Brandon and his wife impressed the fans with their creativity. They’ve been uploading art sessions with some of the younger Bates. Many fans also believe that the two will do well as elementary school teachers.
Michaela Shares Deep Struggles Amid Medical Condition
In an IG Stories post, Michaela answered a fan asking about how she remains strong in her faith despite her medical condition. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she struggled “in a deep way” several years ago, asking the same question. However, Brandon encouraged her to pour her heart into God and share every feeling and emotion she had.
Michaela Bates Keilen also said that it was such a hard time, but she never stopped asking God for comfort. She later said that she found passages in the scripture, that made her much stronger. “God was at work in life and He showed me his kindness as I spend time with him!! The book of Ephesians was a huge encouragement to me as well as the book of Psalms,” she added.

Michaela also took to social media to show how thankful she is for the support they’ve been receiving. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, people have been sending her positive messages regarding their YouTube channel, and they’re “incredibly grateful.”
Michaela Bates Keilen also revealed that they didn’t know anything about YouTube when they started. But they’ve been learning new things each week. “Thank you all so much for joining us in this new adventure. Your messages, suggestions, and comments have been a huge help to us!” she said. The second Bates child has also turned off the comments section on her YouTube channel, though some believe that it’s her way to avoid all the negativity.
