Did Maria Georgas Turn Down The Bachelorette?
After watching Joey Graziadei’s historic season finale of The Bachelor, fans were eager to see who would be named as the 2024 lead for The Bachelorette. Many fans wanted Maria Georgas to get the gig.
During the season she along with Daisy Kent both gained over 500k followers on social media. Fans were shocked last night when neither Maria or Daisy was chosen for the role. There are many questions about why this happened.
A new TikTok was shared by Instagram account bachelordata. This TikTok reveals screenshots of a DM that confirms Maria was offered the role but she declined.
Fellow contestant Lauren Hollinger shared in a DM that Maria Georgas was offered the role but turned it down. She claims to be Maria’s best friend so she would know if this information was accurate or not. So far Maria has not spoken out on the subject. Maria has only wished Jenn Tran the best as she starts her own journey as The Bachelorette.

Why Would She Turn It Down?
So far there is no confirmation from Maria Georgas that she was in fact offered the opportunity. Just a week ago she said it would be the opportunity of a lifetime. She had said, “I would be stupid to turn it down. It’s not something that I was thinking about doing — I never even thought I would even get the chance.”
Now that The Bachelor has officially wrapped up, perhaps Maria will make podcast rounds and share the reasons behind her decision.
There are also new reports that indicate Daisy Kent was also selected as the lead but at the last minute she backed out.
Last night on After the Final Rose, Jenn Tran was announced as the new Bachelorette. The alums including Jesse Palmer all did a shot with her to celebrate.
