Will ‘RHUGT’ Season 5 Be Aired Amid Nasty Lawsuit?
Will RHUGT Season 5 aka Morocco be aired amid a nasty lawsuit battle between Caroline Manzo and Bravo? It is well known that there was too much drama in this season. Therefore, it is doubtful that it will see the light but one cast member is hopeful. Read on for more details.
Will RHUGT Season 5 Be Aired Amid Nasty Lawsuit?
Initially, RHUGT 5 was supposed to be the fourth installment but then, everything went terribly wrong. Brandi Glanville was allegedly too touchy-feely with co-star, Caroline Manzo. This caused her to be sent home early and Manzo left on her own accord. An investigation was launched and Glanville has maintained that this whole situation has damaged her career and ruined her health. Manzo has since filed a lawsuit but Glanville believes the show should air so she can be vindicated. After Morocco was filmed, RHONY Legacy was filmed in St. Barths so that ended up airing first while everyone tried to decide what to do with the tainted trip.
Brandi Glanville has also threatened a lawsuit and claimed Andy Cohen sexually harassed her. So, there is a lot going on with this show. However, they had compiled an all-star cast that included Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Vicki Gunvalson, Camille Grammer Meyer, Alex McCord, and Gretchen Rossi. Both Camille and Vicki stood behind Brandi and believed the show was amazing. Now, Gretchen, who appeared on the RHOC for five seasons, is speaking out. According to The Sun, Rossi is sad that this particular season may never air because she feels that it is the “best.”
Per Gretchen:
“It was quite the experience, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to air anytime soon. Unfortunately, they haven’t really given us a lot of information, so I’m sad because I really think it would’ve been an incredible season. From what we’re hearing from the network and from everybody, they said it was going to be just probably one of the best seasons.”
She went on to add that they often broke the fourth wall while she and Vicki butted heads. They had previously reconciled but that ended on the RHUGT.
Why She Did It
Gretchen Rossi, who shares a daughter with Slade Smiley, shared why she signed on for RHUGT:
“I was excited about doing [RHUGT] because I knew it was going to be new [and] different. I knew we were going to be able to break the fourth wall, talk about what it was like being a housewife.”
She also noted it was far easier than filming Housewives because that was overly dramatic with her co-stars lying about her. That was not the case with the spinoff and she truly is sad that it may never air. More so, if it does, it could be years from now:
“By the time [the lawsuit’s dissolution] happens, that could be years from now, so I don’t even know if it would be relevant.”
Hopefully, some of the footage will be allowed to air because it does seem that many of the cast had a great time. Additionally, they do have differing views as to what happened between Brandi and Caroline unless they really want their season to air.
