On Patrol: Live Fullerton Police Dept. Says Goodbye, Passes Torch
There are several police departments that have become like family to On Patrol: Live viewers. One of them is the Fullerton Police Department. Viewers have often commented that the cops in Fullerton do not take things lightly and are not to be messed with. Plus, they appear to work as a team, which fans appreciate.
I am always amazed at how well the Fullerton officers work together. Communication, follow-through, always showing concern for the citizens. I am glad they are now part of On Patrol Live.

These cops in #Fullerton don’t play!! #FullertonPD #OPLive #OnPatrolLive #OPNation #OPLNation When they roll, they roll 3 or 4 officers deep at times. Can’t wait to see more of them on On Patrol Live

Such a fantastic end to my day. I was fortunate to have FSD’s Officer Morley @FullertonPolice give me a tour of the Fullerton Police Station. As an added bonus, I met 3 of the “On Patrol Live” police officers. So cool! Made my day 😊 #FSDlearns #FSD #FSDsel#SEL #FSDPBIS pic.twitter.com/fNzrIizrPw

Unfortunately for those who love them on OPL, they will no longer be around. Fullerton explained that they were not even supposed to be around as long as they had been via a Facebook post. However, they lasted nearly a year. Now, they have ended their time and are passing the torch to another police department and are thrilled to see what happens next.
“In early January, the Fullerton Police Department began talks with the documentary series On Patrol: Live about taking a break from filming. We initially signed up for eight weeks. We had a fantastic time with a great crew, and eight months flew by. After working with the producers, our last day of filming was March 2nd. We’ve enjoyed appearing on the series and are thankful for the opportunity to show viewers and our Fullerton residents the hard work our officers do daily. We are grateful to be part of the #OPNation family and look forward to the opportunity of a possible return in the future. We are excited to watch City of Fontana Police Department this weekend as they make their #OPLive debut.”
Fans Broken Hearts
After fans saw this announcement about Fullerton leaving On Patrol: Live. Some said that this was their favorite police department. Others noted how “well trained” they were and hoped they would be back in the future. It was especially hard on residents of Fullerton who understood why the cops were the way that they were. They had so much respect for the way that they handled their profession and it showed in every comment. Hopefully, they will just be away temporarily and get the itch to come back.

Unfortunately we have to say goodbye to Fullerton PD, they were a really good Department to watch. There has been a few that have come and gone but Fullerton were sad to see you go. please be safe and watch each other’s back.hopefullythey will bring you guys back again. I live in La Habra and it’s nice to see a very good Department do such a great job where we live!
Living on the border of Fullerton (the other side of the street is Fullerton, I have had quite a few interactions with the department. The only thing I can say about them is, they are fantastic! I was so excited seeing them on my favorite TV program and looked forward to seeing them every week. While we are going to see Fontana, I am sad to see FPD go. Hopefully they will come back, some time in the future.
I’m definitely missing Fullerton already! They were the most professional and coordinated department on the show. I’ve been watching OPLive since it was the previous show. I hope we see them back soon!
