Unfortunately for those who love them on OPL, they will no longer be around. Fullerton explained that they were not even supposed to be around as long as they had been via a Facebook post. However, they lasted nearly a year. Now, they have ended their time and are passing the torch to another police department and are thrilled to see what happens next.

“In early January, the Fullerton Police Department began talks with the documentary series On Patrol: Live about taking a break from filming. We initially signed up for eight weeks. We had a fantastic time with a great crew, and eight months flew by. After working with the producers, our last day of filming was March 2nd. We’ve enjoyed appearing on the series and are thankful for the opportunity to show viewers and our Fullerton residents the hard work our officers do daily. We are grateful to be part of the #OPNation family and look forward to the opportunity of a possible return in the future. We are excited to watch City of Fontana Police Department this weekend as they make their #OPLive debut.”
So, On Patrol: Live fans were very lucky that they had Fullerton as long as they did. However, Fontana is now going to be taking over so that will be something new and exciting for viewers and Fullerton. Of course, fans were not that happy to learn this news.

Fans Broken Hearts

After fans saw this announcement about Fullerton leaving On Patrol: Live. Some said that this was their favorite police department. Others noted how “well trained” they were and hoped they would be back in the future. It was especially hard on residents of Fullerton who understood why the cops were the way that they were. They had so much respect for the way that they handled their profession and it showed in every comment. Hopefully, they will just be away temporarily and get the itch to come back.

  3. Living on the border of Fullerton (the other side of the street is Fullerton, I have had quite a few interactions with the department. The only thing I can say about them is, they are fantastic! I was so excited seeing them on my favorite TV program and looked forward to seeing them every week. While we are going to see Fontana, I am sad to see FPD go. Hopefully they will come back, some time in the future.
