90 Day Fiance: Natalie Mordovtseva Living With Her Mother In America

Natalie’s Mom Forgets Daughter’s Name? Fans Confused
As much as 90 Day Fiance fans dislike Natalie Mordovtseva, and as much as viewers are annoyed that TLC keeps bringing her back to film more scenes, viewers agree that Mike Youngquist did the right thing by helping Natalie’s mom get out of Ukraine and come to America.
There’s something that is puzzling 90 Day Fiance fans in scenes between Natalie and her mother, though. Natalie’s mom calls her Natasha in scenes instead of Natalie. Some fans wonder if her mom forgot her own daughter’s name in her old age, or, if there’s something more to it.
One 90 Day Fiance fan asked: “Is her name Natalie or Natasha? Her mother keeps calling her Natasha.”
90 Day Fiance: Why Natalie Mordovtseva’s Mom Calls Her Natasha Explained
With so many 90 Day Fiance fans wondering why Natalie Mordovtseva’s mother keeps calling her Natasha in The Single Life scenes, it turns out, there’s a reason for this that has nothing to do with being forgetful or a slip of the tongue.
Natasha is a name of Russian origin. It also has another variant, Natalia. Natasha means “Born on Christmas Day.” The Latin variant is where Natalie comes in, which translates to “birthday,” in reference to the birth of Christ. This is often a name given to those born around Christmas.
Natasha and Natalie are the same name, just different variants. So, this explains why Natalie’s mother calls her Natasha in scenes instead of Natalie, and also clears up some of the confusion that fans have had.
