‘Lucifer’ Resurrected Again? Netflix Wants To Keep Series Going Beyond Season 5
Lucifans are not the only ones who don’t want to let Lucifer go. Turns out, there is a report that states that neither does Netflix. The streaming network that saved the former Fox show wants the show to continue. Does this mean a Lucifer Season 6, or could it be something else?
Lucifer Lives?
A new report from TV Line reveals that Netflix is reportedly “in talks” with Warner Brothers about extending Lucifer beyond Season 5. The 16 episodes of Season 5 are the final episodes of the devilish series. Could Netflix now be backtracking on their original cancelation? Lucifer is an international hit. Could there really be talks to extend the series by adding another season, filming a movie or creating a spinoff?
Who Confirmed Report?
One of the tricky aspects about a report without named sources is that we don’t know how reliable the source really is. TV Line is very reliable source. Writer
“Netflix and Warner Bros. have yet to comment on the Season 6 buzz.”What does this mean? This means that no one from either side of the alleged negotiation has commented on the possibility that Lucifer could continue on beyond Season 5. But, his sources say they are talking. What could they be saying?

What Could This Mean?
Could this mean a Lucifer Season 6? As there is currently just a few more shows left to shoot, this hope may just be that. Co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich and their talented team of writers have been busy tying up loose ends and completing the storylines. Continuing the show could be rather messy.
Another possibility is movies. TV Shows Ace has previously reported that showrunner Ildy Modrovich has been open to the possibility of Lucifer movies post Season 5. Lucifan Katie had tweeted to Ildy: “Would you guys ever consider doing a spinoff or maybe a movie in the future?” Ildy’s response? “Well, of course we would!!”
Besides a movie, a spinoff series could become a reality. Many Lucifans have asked if there could be a Maze spinoff. Could these alleged talks about extending Lucifer really be about a spinoff series?
Lucifer Already Saying Goodbye To Writers
Just last week, TV Shows Ace reported that the crew said goodbye to the Lucifer Writers Room. The tears are flowing and the realization that the show is ending is certainly hitting everyone. This new report could certainly give cast, crew and fans hope that Lucifer will be resurrected again.
Be sure to check back with TV Shows Ace for the latest Lucifer news. Netflix will drop the first eight episodes of Lucifer Season 5 in the upcoming months.
