Fans Think Kody Brown Has Been A ‘Narcissist’ Since Day One
Sister Wives star Kody Brown has been criticized for his controversial behavior in recent years. Many are upset about how he mistreated Janelle, Christine, and Meri since their move to Flagstaff, leading to their separations. But it seems his mindset has been different since their early days. Some Redditors also recalled several parts of the Brown family’s book, “Becoming Sister Wives,” in which he seemingly showed the behavior of a narcissist. Keep reading to see the shocking words from the Brown family patriarch.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Accused Of Damage Control
Many fans have noticed the sudden changes in Kody’s behavior during Christine’s wedding special. Some Redditors think he acted differently and was full of positivity during his ex-wives’s nuptials with David, which is far from his angry behavior during Tell-All, Look Back, and Talk Back. According to some, there’s a possibility that Kody’s PR team is making efforts to clean his image. He even stated in a recent interview that he’s hoping to have continuous friendships with his ex-wives, as they’re bound forever due to their kids. But the Reddit users think he has a different motive.
- “It sounds like he hopes for a future friendship as a lifeline for any future show/seasons.”
- “Did Kody get crisis PR help?! After the horrible things he said and did to these women I can’t imagine they want any relationship beyond civil co-parenting.”
- “I think that at this point, he and Robyn both are like rats on a sinking ship trying to find something to cling to so that they can keep floating and have a show.”
Fans Think Kody Has Been A Narcissist Since Day One
Some Reddit users from a different thread discussed a few pages from the book “Becoming Sister Wives,” in which Kody made some suspicious statements about himself. According to the Sister Wives star, he knows that he is putting his family at risk through polygamy. But he’s “tired of hiding” and “living like a second-class.”
The poster also highlighted another part of the book where Kody Brown stated, “Religion by nature is elitist,” and he doesn’t consider followers from another religion any less worthy in God’s eyes or his. Some think it just shows that the TLC star already sees himself differently from the very beginning.
- “I just threw up metaphorically reading this BS. His Intro is just him in lala land! How he describes himself, oh please a surfer. He is such a Narcissist. That first paragraph we know what he really thinks of himself he can believe all of it and he does!”
- “He’s just a small town boy! (who is big-time deceitful and way too in love with himself) “My show”, that also entertains me. Does he really think the entire show is about him? Ugh. This dude is no prize.”
- “Kody’s over inflated, fragile ego is so vast and hungry, that it consumes all the space. He systematically works on quashing the self esteem of anyone who dares to challenge him”
Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Ex-Wives Are Now Living Happily
Kody’s ex-wives, Christine, Meri, and Janelle, are now living happily after parting ways with him. Christine is now married to David Woolley, while Meri enters a new relationship with a man named Amos. Meanwhile, Janelle has been focusing more on taking care of her kids and grandkids. None of the ex-wives have also acknowledged his recent interview, where he opened up about his hopes to continue staying friends with them.
There have been speculations that the Brown family may return for a new season. Season 18 ended with a cliffhanger as Janelle and Meri argued with Kody about the unequal division of Coyote Pass. Some Sister Wives fans also think that TLC will continue to keep them around through spinoffs due to their growing popularity.
