She was a victim of Munchausen’s by Proxy. Once Gypsy found out that her mother had been making her sick for years, she made a plan to have her mom murdered by her boyfriend. Most people saw Gypsy as a victim and were able to sympathize with why she would do something so horrible. After all, she’d been treated badly all of her life.

However, she wound up pleading guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. In September, she was granted parole and was released in December 2023 after serving eight years of her ten-year sentence.

Since her release from prison, Gypsy has gained a lot of attention from media outlets and fans. She has accrued a large following on social media and, surprisingly, many people are rooting for her to succeed following the murder of her mother.
