‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Slams Kody For Breaking Promise
Sister Wives star Janelle Brown made some big statements while rewatching the Season 18 finale during the Talk Back special. The 54-year-old talked about the promise her ex-husband, Kody, made regarding their plural marriage. However, it seems he broke it throughout the years, ultimately leading to their downfall. Sister Wives: Kody Brown Continues To Defend Himself
The latest episodes of Talk Back and Look Back showed Kody still having some words to say to his ex-wives. In one of his scenes during Look Back, he claimed being referred to as a “coward” by Christine because he was never willing to break up with her. He said that he wasn’t technically allowed due to their church’s beliefs.
“Once we’ve committed to marry a woman, the choice is gone,” he said. Kody even commended Christine for being brave enough to end their marriage. “Because, no, I wasn’t in love with her. As much as I tried to love her, it just wasn’t working all the time,” the Sister Wives star explained.
Janelle Calls Out Kody For Breaking Promise
During the latest episode of Look Back, Janelle questioned Kody and Robyn’s covenant, in which he stated, “Our sacred covenant was if I’m ever not in love with you, I won’t just sit there and be in a pathetic place with you.” According to the Sister Wives star, it was a “weird” thing to promise. The mother of six was puzzled by their agreement.
I don’t think he’s telling the whole thing. Maybe he is. Maybe their relationship is that superficial because, I’m sorry, you fall in and out of love many times in a relationship.
Later in the episode, Meri and her friend, Jenn, rewatched the same clip. “I feel like something else had to have happened,” Jenn said, explaining that he was already complaining to her pre-marriage regarding Meri, Janelle, or Christine. “And Robyn’s like, well, if this happens with us, promise me,” she added. Meri was also taken back by her friend’s words and said, “Oh, my gosh, are you serious? I’ve never thought of that.”
Sister Wives: Janelle Brown Slammed Kody For His ‘Acts’
Janelle also called out Kody for his statements to Meri about how his “acts” of being married to her were “easy.” According to the Sister Wives star, she has witnessed Kody being so involved in his relationships that he wasn’t only doing duties. “He was engaged with the family,” she added.
But now because he’s found a different kind of love with Robyn, he’s like, ‘Well that was just pretend before. I was just faking it. I was just doing my duty.’ It’s bull**t.
Christine Brown also said their ex-husband needs to “stop talking” after watching the clip of his controversial claims. Meanwhile, Janelle didn’t hold back and said that Kody was not the only one who had to sort of honor his commitments. “I’m sorry, buddy, that’s what happens in a marriage. When your relationships are bad, that’s sort of how everybody feels,” she added.
