‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Preview: Amy Breaks Down, Begs For Help
As 1000-Lb Sisters continues, Amy Halterman is in a very difficult situation. Onscreen, fans are watching her break down in tears and struggle to balance her own mental health needs and parenthood.
It’s clear the situation is about to boil over. TLC recently shared a new clip to give fans a glimpse of the upcoming episode. And the situation does not look positive for the Haltermans’ marriage.

Amy breaks down in a new 1000-Lb Sisters teaser
Ahead of Tuesday night’s episode, TLC shared a heartbreaking clip to stoke interest among viewers. However, fans ultimately ended up feeling terrible for Amy Halterman.
“Amy needs a minute to herself! She’s looking to hire a nanny for some extra help on #1000lbSisters, Tuesday at 9/8c,” the official TLC Instagram account captioned the clip. In the video, Amy breaks down as she describes her situation. She feels like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders as she tries to parent two very small children, care for her family, and be a wife to Michael.
“I was good before Glenn was born. I had it under control,” the mother of two says in exasperation. “And then when he was born, it just went PSHEW!”
As a result, she decides to hire a nanny to help out. But even making a video asking for resumes proves to be too difficult for Amy and Michael to do.
