Season 11 of My Big Fat Fabulous Life lurched its way through Whitney Way Thore being jealous and obnoxious. Well, that’s if you consider the options of many TLC viewers. With Season 12 likely coming in 2024, some people wonder if she deserves to get continually renewed.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life Fans Sick Of Glenn Thore’s Daughter?

In the opinion of many people, the introduction of Glenn’s Alabama family should have spiced up the TLC show. However, a lot of viewers felt disappointed. As usual, the dramatics came from his biological daughter. In fact, it got so bad, that some people vowed they’d never watch it again. Meanwhile, newcomers to the show can’t be bothered going back and watching the older seasons.

Whitney Way Thore turned on the tears to guilt her dad after he announced that he wanted to move to Alabama to be with Angie. The entire storyline was that Angie found her biological dad via her son. But, Glenn said he wanted to go and live in Alabama for a while to help Angie the son she gave up for adoption. Despite that obvious contradiction, it became clear that the cliffhanger was signaling another season of My MBFFL.

The Finale That Never Comes For MBFFL Whitney Way Thore

Despite people hate-watching the show, TLC constantly renewed it, and viewers who became critics hate to see her rewarded for bad behavior. On Reddit, the finale that wasn’t really a finale with two cliffhangers, picked up a lot of criticism. An OP vented:

Whitney’s Non-finale. It seems WWT is yet drawing newer viewers during TLC’s line-up hiatus. Who are increasingly appalled by her behaviors, as they bravely make it through Seasons 1-11. The woman counts on this. She left a steamy pile behind, hoping viewers will yet sniff it to see how much further it’ll make them recoil. And maybe even come back next Season for more “info.”… Don’t fall for WWT’s particular brand of shtank. A gentle suggestion. There are lots of other “reality” “stars” who may benefit from the unwarranted attention, but don’t seem as potentially harmful.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans quickly added their thoughts about Whitney Way Thore.

  • I discovered the show for the first time in Season 11. I have no desire to go back and hate watch seasons 1-10. To me, as a new viewer, MBFFL is essentially the “Glenn coping with his creepy daughter” show, and I’m 100% rooting for Glenn, not Whitney…
  • I didn’t even realize it was the finale because the entire season just felt like a let down. I wanted to see more of the Alabama family. They need their own spinoff with Glenn.
  • She doesn’t care about the “hate.” She welcomes it. Because ratings don’t distinguish between love watchers and hate watchers. They only count eyeballs. As long as people are watching, she in turn watches her bank account grow, braying all the way.
