My 600-lb Life Season 4 featured the story of Kirsten Perez. She appeared in the show, struggling with an extreme food addiction. The Washington native weighed 612 pounds when she sought Dr. Now’s help. She lived through a dark past and claimed that she was sexually abused by multiple people at once.

My 600-lb Life: Kristen Perez’s Weight Loss Journey
Kristen initially struggled in her program. She avoided Dr. Now’s therapy multiple times, which led him to finally give her an ultimatum. According to the bariatric surgeon, he would take back his effort to help her lose weight. The My 600-lb Life alum adhered and eventually lost enough weight to get her weight loss surgery. She was able to drop 170 lbs after her operation, bringing her down to 442 lbs. Kristen even made her father proud with her transformation.
Kristen Battled Her Addiction
Kirsten ended her episode filled with positivity. She was guided by her therapist, Lola Clay, and battled her addiction to food and drugs. It was revealed that she was addicted to a range of illegal drugs. “I was doing drugs and smoking a lot of pot, a lot of acid, meth here and there, and I still didn’t slow down my eating,” she said during a confessional.
But with the help of Lola, the former My 600-lb Life star was able to get herself together and pursue a healthier life. Kristen Perez also sent her son back to Washington during her time in Houston due to his behavioral issues. It also helped her get more focused on her weight. She eventually went back home after finishing her programs with Dr. Now, who’s also impressed by the progress she made.
My 600-lb Life: What Happened To Kristen Perez After Her Episode?
Kristen hasn’t been active on social media since her episode ended. She hasn’t had any follow-up specials either. However, the My 600-lb Life alum parted ways with Dr. Now with an optimistic mindset. There are also photos of her circulating online, showing her incredible transformation. Due to this, fans can expect that she’s still pursuing her physical goals even without the guidance of Dr. Now.
