My 600-lb Life alum Dolly Martinez had a difficult journey during her time in Season 10. She appeared on the show at 593 pounds. The Texas native suffered from congestive heart failure and was on oxygen when she sought Dr. Now’s help. She also suffered from multiple heartbreaks during her journey to lose weight. My 600-lb Life: Dolly Martinez’s Weight Loss Journey
Dr. Now has had patients who showed dedication early in their program. But there are some who don’t show any signs of wanting to follow his rules, and it seems Dolly is one of them. During her episode, she was told to shed enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. However, she was only able to drop 40 pounds, bringing her down to 552 lbs.
The My 600-lb Life alum also suffered from her abusive husband. They had already called it quits, but Dolly decided to go back with him after a big fight with her mother. Unfortunately, her husband went back to his bad behavior, which ultimately led her to a homeless shelter. She later met a man named Philip. But the two remained homeless for quite some time. Dr. Now also had to disapprove of her bariatric surgery due to her living condition and inability to lose pounds.
Did Dolly Lose Weight After The Show?
Dolly has been active on social media since her episode ended. In June, the former My 600-lb Life star revealed that she was able to drop her weight to 523 lbs. She also uploaded a stunning photo of herself looking a lot healthier.
Dolly Martinez also told a fan that she might do a return episode to give updates about her journey. Furthermore, she’s been more conscious of her diet. Many of her FB posts today show that she’s more into vegetables and other healthy foods.
My 600-lb Life: Dolly Martinez Got Her Life Back On Track
Aside from losing weight, Dolly was able to live a good life after the show. Her IG bio states that she’s no longer homeless. The My 600-lb Life alum got her daughter back as well. She has also uploaded photos of her mother, suggesting that their relationship has improved.
Additionally, Dolly Martinez likes to share updates with her significant other. In August, she revealed that she and Philip are still going strong. It’s unclear if they have already tied the knot. But they’ve been trying to prove how much they love each other despite getting engaged in just about six weeks together.
