Michael Strahan Makes First Television Appearance In Two Weeks
Michael Strahan has been missing in action from TV for two weeks, but he finally made his return to the small screen on Sunday. Strahan has missed the time due to what sources say is a “family emergency.” He has missed his time on Fox’s NFL coverage and also missed his time on Good Morning America.
Here is a look at Strahan’s absence and his return this week.
Michael Strahan returns to NFL Fox football coverage
After leaving his TV roles two weeks ago for what was described as a family emergency, Michael Strahan was back on Sunday for Fox’s NFL coverage. During a pre-show that included a special honoring the troops, Strahan joined Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, and Curt Menefee for the broadcast. He has missed the last two weeks of the show.
Strahan didn’t have a great week. While he seemed to love being there for the tribute to the veterans, his New York Giants ended up getting blown out by the Dallas Cowboys. Strahan looked downtrodden, but it was mostly because he had to report on the game result. However, he has also been dealing with private issues as well in his personal life. Last week, Curt Menefee said it was a family matter that had him missing his second week.
Strahan has also missed the last two weeks of Good Morning America. His last appearance on GMA was on October 26. He has also been silent on social media and has kept his personal life private. On the day after Menefee made his announcement, ABC released a statement about his GMA absence. The spokesman said he would miss at least one more week on the show as he was “dealing with some personal family matters.”
When will Michael Strahan be back on Good Morning America?
Michael Strahan returned to Fox for his NFL coverage on Sunday. He not only worked the pre-game show, but he took his main role back. He was there for the halftime and post-game shows. Strahan appeared to be back and ready to move back on with his television roles. This also should continue with Good Morning America.
In a recent interview, a GMA insider said that Michael Strahan’s absence was really felt and they hoped to have him back soon. They also said it could happen very soon. They said that there was an expectation that Strahan would be back on Good Morning America this upcoming week. There is still no word on what the family problems were, but it seems like Strahan is coming back to work.
