When Shannon Beador joined the RHOC in Season 9, she was in great shape, married, and had three daughters. Her life was based around all things organic and even had jewels in her molars. Then, as things started to crumble with her husband, David Beador, her weight went up. Over time, she was embarrassed of the scale and tried to find ways to remedy it. She was cooking healthy cuisine and even created her own healthy line of meals to sell. Though she started to lose weight, Shannon was yo-yo-ing and it was a huge stressor.
In the last season, the ladies all went on vacation and were given one-piece fun bathing suits to wear. Shannon felt uncomfortable putting hers on due to body insecurity. Plus, she would occasionally wear Spanx under in the pool. Now, she looks slimmer and better than ever after her hit-and-run and DUI arrest. So, what is her secret? According to Radar Online, her new, fabulous figure has to do with her lifestyle change. The 59-year-old has given up alcohol after her DUI arrest and the stipulations that come with it.
An insider had this to share: “I think it’s not drinking and stress, frankly.” They also added that she abstained from any surgical procedures after hurting her arm in the accident. Shannon Beador feared she would have to have surgery after that so she is steering clear of anything medical. Plus, she has been apparently staying away from her ex, John Janssen, as their relationship was unhealthy. He could allegedly stay up all night, having a good time, leading Shannon to feel she could do the same.
BravoCon Goals
Despite her friends living it up from the moment they got to Las Vegas, Shannon Beador stayed sober at BravoCon. She chose to stick to water and did not head to Tamra Judge’s suite party on night one. Rather, she went out to a nice dinner. However, she is on tour with the Tres Amigas aka Tamra and Vicki Gunvalson, and those ladies like to drink. So, this could be a test for Shannon. Yet, if she is told how amazing and healthy she looks, this new sober lifestyle may stick.
