What She Learned From Golden Bachelor Experience
Ellen Goltzer was one of the 22 women chosen for the first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor. The senior dating show follows 72-year-old widower Gerry Turner as he tries to find love again.
Divorcee Goltzer, 71, hoped to be that woman. Unfortunately, Gerry Turner didn’t reciprocate her feelings of love and sent her home the week before hometown dates.
He chose Theresa Nist, Leslie Fhima, and Faith Martin as his final three.
Goltzer was heartbroken but overall enjoyed her journey on The Golden Bachelor. She recently answered 20 questions from bachelornation.com about herself and her time on the reality show.
When asked to name her favorite part about being on the show, she said, “Meeting Gerry and just getting to enjoy the entire experience!!”
It sounds like she has no hard feelings toward Turner for sending her home. What did she learn on the show? “It taught me more about tolerance and love,” she said.
Ellen Goltzer Reveals Secret Talent
Ellen was among the Golden Bachelor contestants on the talent show group date early in the season. However, teaching s*x education isn’t her secret talent.

She told the Bachelor Nation blog that “knitting” is her secret talent. “I know, I can’t believe it either,” she quipped.
Her Favorite Bachelor Nation Couple
One of the questions Ellen Goltzer was asked was to name her favorite celebrity couple that she considers #relationshipgoals. She didn’t look very far outside Bachelor Nation, naming Trista and Ryan Sutter as her favorite couple, gushing, “They are the cutest!”
The first-ever Bachelorette Trista Sutter made an appearance on the first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor. And it seems she made quite the impression on Goltzer.
When asked which Bachelor Nation stars she’d hang out with for the rest of her life, she named “Trista, Joey [Graziadei,] Jesse [Palmer,] and the wonderful producers.”
Graziadei is, of course, the next Bachelor for the upcoming Season 28.
Does Ellen Goltzer See Love In Her Future?
The Bachelor Nation blog always asks participants where they see themselves in five years. While Ellen Goltzer didn’t find love on The Golden Bachelor, she sees it for her future.
“Happy and sharing my life with a very special person that I adore,” she answered.
