Furthermore, the My 600-lb Life alum’s love life wasn’t as great as well, and she was even abandoned by her best friend, leaving her with a limited support system, which drove her to eat even more.

Melissa’s Weight Loss Journey

Despite her difficult past, Melissa still showed the courage to drop pounds. She quickly lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. The former My 600-lb Life alum was able to drop 152 pounds. She also worked on her depression by going to therapy. Her last reported weight was 440 lbs.

Melissa Marescot has been active on social media after her episode. While she remains discreet about her physical goals, the TLC alum continues to share motivational quotes about loving oneself and battling anxieties, showing that she’s still trying her best to stay positive. In September, the TLC alum shared a photo of herself looking a lot healthier.

Many of Melissa’s photos indicate that she’s been able to go outdoors a lot more than she used to. The My 600-lb Life alum’s FB page also says that she’s a digital creator and presently lives in Washington, D.C. It’s unclear if she’s currently in a relationship. However, she began dating a man named Elijah during her time on the show.
