If you follow Carlin on social media, you may know that she has spent plenty of time in the emergency room herself. She’s been dealing with mysterious seizure-like episodes for the past year. This time, her three-year-old daughter is the one who landed in the ER.
Carlin Bates Stewart’s Daughter Layla Lands In ER For Bloody Gash
On her Instagram Stories on Saturday morning, Carlin Bates Stewart gave Bringing Up Bates fans an update on her daughter, Layla. Sadly, the three-year-old was rushed to the ER with a bloody gash on Friday night. She posted a few photos from the hospital. In one snap, Carlin showed fans a close-up of Layla’s gash on her chin. The mom of two said, “She tripped and split her little chin playing with the cousins.”
Then, she gave BUB fans another update. Carlin posted a picture of Layla lying in a hospital bed as she sat by her side. Carlin wrote, “Poor thing. She was so brave. Ended up getting a couple steri-strips and some glue so that it can heal right with little scarring.”
Bringing Up Bates Fans React To New Photos
Because this update was posted to Carlin’s Instagram Stories, fans can’t publicly discuss it on her page. However, one Bringing Up Bates fan reposted it on Reddit so others could discuss it. While many fans are concerned about Layla and hope she’s better soon, others are upset that Carlin chose to post these pictures.
One fan called out the mom of two for taking photos and videos of her daughter in such a sensitive moment. Another noted that it was “exploitative.” Someone else chimed in, “A 3-year-old can’t give consent to be shown personal moments like this.”
