It was so kind because his GH co-stars quickly jumped on Twitter to help spread the word about helping him out. This included Jon Lindstrom and Kristina Wagner. He truly appreciated all of the kindness but now it seems that all of the hard work may have paid off. According to Soap Central, it looks like John J. York may have found his match. Through Be The Match, it seems his life may be forever saved and changed. He appeared on Good Morning America to share this overwhelmingly positive update.

“I believe they found a match, a perfect match, which will make me cry. So, we’re going to start our testing and do all that kind of stuff coming up here in about a week, and then I believe the transplant will happen, fingers crossed, in November,” York explained. Prior to this, he was given three to five years to live with his initial diagnosis. Fortunately, he is still able to work at General Hospital. However, he has coordinated his work days with his doctor visits.
Meeting The Donor
Of course, John J. York was asked what he would say if he met his donor. The General Hospital star replied tearfully: “Thank you for saving my life. For letting me spend more time with my wife and my daughter and my son-in-law and my grandchildren and seeing this beautiful blue sky and all the beautiful trees around.” This is amazing news and we sincerely hope that everything goes smoothly and as planned.
