A fan calls out the Duggar daughter for dishonoring her parents.

On InstagramJill has shared several posts promoting her book. In response to these posts, she typically gets lots of love from her followers who are enjoying the memoir. However, she does receive a handful of negative comments too.

This week, one fan argued with her and said that she wasn’t honoring her parents. They wrote, “The Bible doesn’t say honor your mother and father if they deserve it, if they earn it, if you feel like it, until a certain age.”

The fan went on to say that Jill now has “practically no family.”

After reflecting on this comment, Jill decided to share her side of the story. She explained that she still believes in honoring her parents at every age. However, she doesn’t agree with the IBLP’s definition of honoring her parents. She wrote that honoring her parents doesn’t mean that she needs to “keep silent about everything, especially when others continue to be harmed.”

The former Counting On star said, “It’s possible to live respectfully and show honor to one’s parents while also disagreeing.”

Finally, Jill Duggar Dillard said, “Jesus didn’t see eye to eye with his family.”

  1. Whatever your beef is, it should be a private discussion between you and your parents, NOT a tell all book that is making you money. Are you SAVED, Jill, because of the tireless dedication of biblical instruction your parents gave you? Can you put a price on that? Does 175K cover it for you? You are literally, fault finding. The truth is, this country would be in a much better place if Michelle and JimBob had raised everyone. You and Jinger are oblivious to the abundance you had in childhood, and one of the worst sins is ungratefulness. Please, both of you, get the dollar signs out of your eyes.
