‘The Traitors’ Season 2 Adding ‘Big Brother’, ‘Summer House’ Stars
The Traitors is coming back for a second season and there will be some more familiar faces for reality TV fans this time around. The leaked cast for the second season of the Peacock reality series will see cast members arrive from Big Brother, Survivor, and Summer House.
Here is a look at who is coming to The Traitors Season 2.
What happened in The Traitors Season 1?
The Traitors is coming back for a second season on Peacock. The first season aired last winter, and fans loved it so much that it is coming back for more. For those who haven’t heard of the show, this is a U.S. version of a show based on a U.K. series. Around the world, this version is known as The Traitors U.S. (like how Love Island USA added on the country in that case as well).
The object of the show sees 10 reality stars and 10 regular people gather together in a castle in the Scottish Highlands with a $250,000 prize at stake. Before the game starts, 10 “traitors” are chosen by the host. Their job is to eliminate the “faithful” in the house. The faithful have to figure out who the traitors are and eliminate them first. If all the traitors are eliminated, the faithful split the prize. If any traitors make it to the end, they steal the money.
Each night, the traitors get together and vote on who they will murder, and that faithful team member goes home immediately. However, none of the other faithful members know until the next day when one of them doesn’t show up for breakfast. However, there are missions that the players undertake every day and people can gain immunity from being murdered through these.
At the end of each day, all the players get together and decide who they will vote out at a Round Table. The goal is to eliminate a traitor. However, sometimes they eliminate one of the faithful. When one of the traitors goes home, the other two recruit another player. When it comes down to the Final Four, they vote to banish someone else or end the game. If they end the game, and it is all faithful contestants, they split the money. If there are traitors in their midst, the traitors remaining split the prize money.
The Traitors Season 2 bringing in new cast members
In Season 1, six people ended up murdered and nine people were banished. The winner ended up as a traitor.
In The Traitors Season 1, Survivor star Cirie Fields won the competition. Other stars in the show included Shahs of Sunset’s Reza Farahan, Summer House’s Kyle Cook, Big Brother 16’s Cody Calafiore, Big Brother 12’s Rachel Reilly, Below Deck’s Kate Chastain, and The Bachelorette’s Arie Luyendyk Jr., among others. In the final four, Chastain (faithful) ended up banished, Luyendyk (faithful turned traitor) walked, and three remained.
Political analyst Quentin Jiles and music services director Andie Vanacore were both faithful, but Cirie Fields was a traitor and stole the money for the win.
