Amazon Is Reportedly Renewing Clarkson’s Farm For Season 4

After months of speculation that Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime Video series would be canceled, Deadline has reported that Clarkson’s Farm will be back for Season 4. Although the reputable publication did not get information on this from Amazon, they report they have “multiple sources” who have confirmed this. “Amazon declined to comment.”

The information is that The Grand Tour star is in “active talks” for Season 4 of the popular Amazon series. They even report that the farming documentary series is “its best-performing UK original.”

The publication does contend that nothing is “finalized.” Moreover, they admit that there could be another “plot twist.” However, all reports indicated that the talks for another season have been “positive.” Both sides appear eager to make this happen.

Amazon Almost Axed Clarkson’s Farm Over Jeremy Clarkson’s Meghan Markle Column

Back in January, the thought of a possible renewal of Clarkson’s Farm seemed impossible. That is because of Jeremy Clarkson’s shocking December 2022 column about Meghan Markle.

According to Variety, Clarkson’s column in The Sun included his fury over Markle, suggesting that she “parade naked,” while Brits “throw lumps of excrement at her.” Although Clarkson did not reference this, it was a Game Of Thrones reference to a Season 5 scene where Cersei Lannister is forced to walk naked across King’s Landing by the High Sparrow, in punishment for an illicit relationship.

Whether people understood the reference or not, this was highly shocking. Clarkson apologized on social media, “In a column I wrote about Meghan, I made a clumsy reference to a scene in Game Of Thrones and this has gone down badly with a great many people.” In addition, he wrote, “I’m horrified to have caused so much hurt and I shall be more careful in future.”

The Amazon star did send an apology to the couple on Christmas Day but with no response. But, Harry did tell ITV that the column was “horrific, hurtful and cruel towards my wife.” He went on to point out that this permitted others to say equally horrifying things about his wife.

As for Amazon, they were ready to end Clarkson’s Farm with Season 3. Also, the rumors were that this would also be the end of The Grand Tour. As for now, the series that also stars James May and Richard Hammond is set to be done at the end of 2024. There is no word on whether Amazon will work on getting that series renewed after they ink a deal for the farming documentary.
