Below Deck franchise fans noticed a number of times that sexual harassment claims arose, and this time they are aimed at Gary King. A production crew member claimed that Bravo didn’t do much about it, and she’s been suffering from mental health problems because of that.

Below Deck Sexual Harassment And BravoCon

BravoCon happens again in November this year, and Gary King is listed as an attendee. He’s still on the franchise and needs to watch out for Kenya Moore from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The news emerged that he hooked up with her assistant and she’s not happy. In fact, she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she’s “coming for him.” Actually, the mysterious assistant has not been heard of for a while now.

Recently, there was bad news about Below Deck Down Under that involved sexual harassment claims. On that occasion, Luke Jones allegedly entered the room of Margot Sisson. She didn’t want his attention, and Captain Chambers dealt with it very quickly. In fact, Luke was fired from the vessel and Captain Lee totally approved. The new harassment claim initially arose last year and involved another woman named Samantha Suarez.

Below Deck: Samantha Suarez Claims Sexual Harassment By Gary King

Samantha, according to Rolling Stone, worked in the “makeup department” of the main show before joining Sailing Yacht. Last year, while filming was going on for Season 4, allegedly, the crew were on a “dark day.” What does that mean? Well, apparently the crew has to stay in their hotel while interviews are being done. Samatha alleged that after he was done, Gary King got “drunk.” At the time it seems there was no coercion by Gary and she opted to stay and make sure he didn’t wander out again.

The allegations against the Below Deck star are that he apparently wouldn’t let Samatha leave again. According to her, he got all frisky and touchy-feely. In fact, she claimed that a phone call from her manager saved her from an escalation. She claimed that he “pressed himself” on her, and she became concerned because allegedly, all he wore was “his underwear.” Traumatized by it, she immediately filed a complaint of sexual harassment.

Bravo Brushed It Under The Carpet?

The Below Deck production assistant feels unhappy because Bravo didn’t do much about it, US Weekly noted:

Bravo issued a statement in response to the allegations, telling Rolling Stone, “Bravo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows. We require our third-party production companies to have appropriate workplace policies and trainings in place and a clear process on how to report concerns. The concerns Ms. Suarez raised in July 2022 were investigated at that time and action was taken based on the findings.”

It sounds like the only action they took was to make Gary “sleep on the boat on “dark days” so he wasn’t in the hotel with the rest of the cast and crew members.”
