‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 10 Premiere Is A Ratings Success
When Calls The Heart Season 10 premiered much later than Hearties had anticipated this year. However, no one forgot this long-running Hallmark series. Moreover, it was a rating success.
How many viewers did WCTH generate in the first episode? Also, why should Hallmark expect even more with the next episode, “Hope Springs Eternal“?
How Many Watched When Calls The Heart Season 10 Premiere?
A few days after Hallmark premiered their first episode of When Calls The Heart Season 10, entitled “Carpe Diem,” they shared some fantastic news.
According to Friday’s press release, this WCTH episode was the “number one most-watched entertainment cable program on Sunday among Households, Women and Persons 18+, and Total Viewers.”
Also, the first episode was number three in two major demographics. That includes Women 18-49, and Women 18-34.
Most of all, this first episode of WCTH reached three million Total Unduplicated Viewers. No wonder the network announced this as an “outstanding success.”
Hallmark Channel Rocks Viewership
Not only was the When Calls The Heart premiere an unqualified success, the network had more to celebrate. The icing on the cake is that the Hallmark Channel is the “#1 Entertainment Cable Network for the Week AND Weekend in both Total Day And Primetime among Households, Women and Persons 18+, and Total Viewers.”
The Hallmark Channel has a dedicated viewership that has fans coming back for more.
Is When Calls The Heart Renewed For Season 11?
Since the When Calls The Heart Season 10 premiere was so successful, will Hallmark renew the series based on Janette Oke’s novels for another season?
The Hallmark Channel has already renewed the series. Hearties can look forward to WCTH Season 11 sometime in 2024.
When Calls The Heart Season 11 Filming Now
Although there are currently SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes When Calls The Heart got a special waiver to film from the actor’s union.
This waiver was granted because this is a small, independent production company. Also, it is likely because most of the cast is Canadian, and although the ACTRA, the Canadian actor’s union, is supporting the American actors striking, they are currently not on strike.
Therefore, they have been filming Season 11 of WCTH in the Vancouver area now. They are also sharing the cast watching episodes together, something that rarely happens during a season. That is because most seasons air in the spring, and they usually start filming in late summer.
