‘Vanderpump Rules’ Spin-Off Officially In Production
The Vanderpump Rules spin-off is officially in production, interestingly enough at the same time as Season 11 of VPR. The show was actually supposed to start filming after Season 8 but never happened. Then, it was announced that it was put back on the table and now, it is officially filming. So, what are the details? Read on for all that has been revealed so far.
Vanderpump Rules Spin-Off Officially In Production
The Vanderpump Rules spin-off finally has lift-off after being shelves a handful of years ago. Stassi Schroeder originally shared that her wedding in Italy was to serve as a new version of the series. It was going to be called Valley Village and it would follow the cast that had left SUR such as Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and more. However, after Season 8, Schroeder and fellow OG Kristen Doute were fired. Additionally, Taylor and his wife, Cartwright exited the series. Therefore, the show was done. Now, Doute has appeared on Pump in the Season 10 finale.
As for Cartwright and Taylor, they both are back in the Vanderpump Rules world so it seemed like the right time to bring them back. Yet, rather than put them on the original series, a spin-off was created. According to Us Weekly, production for the new series is already begun. Lala Kent shed some insight into what was going on and who was involved while on her Amazon Live. “You will have to stay tuned for that. It is fully happening, and I think they start this week,” she started.
Kent went on to add: “It is so weird that they have a show and they aren’t on our show. And as of now, we aren’t on their show. We are all best friends and we should be filming a show together.” When Jax, Brittany, and Kristen left Vanderpump Rules, as Lala mentioned, there were still friendships that remained. Scheana Shay and Lala are very close with Brittany while Jax is extremely close to Tom Schwartz and even James Kennedy.
Will There Be A Crossover?
It has been alleged that Jax Taylor might pop into Vanderpump Rules this season to do a DJ gig with James Kennedy. As aforementioned, Kristen Doute did return to help Ariana Madix through her breakup with Tom Sandoval. Yet, it is unlikely she will be back for Season 11 in any capacity. Yet, seeing as this is the spin-off from VPR, the one person who would make the most sense to pop in would be Lisa Vanderpump. She started it all as she created VPR while on RHOBH. Summer House was also spun off from VPR, as well.
Are you looking forward to the new spin-off? Or, do you agree with Lala that they should all be on one show together? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
