CBS Meteorologist Elise Finch Dead At 51
According to a report fromĀ The Sun, Elise Finch was confirmed dead at the age of 51 during an emotional on-air segment during which her colleagues paid tribute to her.
The CBS meteorologist reportedly passed away yesterday at a hospital in New York. Her cause of death has yet to be made public. It, however, is being reported by her loved ones that her death was sudden and unexpected.
During the on-air tribute, Jessica Moore became emotional as she spoke of Elise Finch. Jessica Moore affirmed the team would be doing what they could to offer support to Elise’s husband and her daughter, Grace. Turns out, Elise’s colleagues were relatively close to her family as her husband, Graig Henriques, also worked for WCBS as a photojournalist.

WCBS also issued an official statement on Elise Finch’s passing:
Elise was a gifted and consummate professional who took great care with her work. She was also a wonderful ambassador in the community, including her hometown of Mount Vernon. Above all, Elise was a fiercely loving and devoted mother to her daughter Grace and wife to Graig Henriques.
Tributes to the late meteorologist have also flooded social media as her loved ones, her colleagues, and viewers at home come together to mourn this tragic passing.
WCBS’s Jessica Moore penned in an emotional tribute on social media: “Elise was fiercely loyal to those she loved, a straight shooter, a consummate professional, and made me laugh until I cried. But above all, she was completely devoted to her family, especially her daughter Grace. I love you so much, my friend. Heaven now has an angel like no other.”
WCBS anchor Tony Aiello talked of Elise’s love for music in his tribute to her: “Elise Finch loved music. The song of her life deserved many more verses. Her gifts were many, and so too the lives she touched.”
Many more colleagues of Elise Finch took to Twitter to discuss how much of a pleasure it was to work with Elise. Most mentioned her husband and daughter in their tributes as their hearts broke for them during this difficult time.
