Is Kelly Ripa’s Game Show ‘Generation Gap’ Rigged?
Is Kelly Ripa’s game show completely staged? Fans are starting to think that Generation Gap is rigged after seeing a recent episode.
Generation Gap is marketed as a fun game show where children and their grandparents answer pop culture questions and compete against each other. Fans love watching as competitors try to answer questions that test their knowledge about other generations.
But during a recent episode, viewers found the answers to be a little bizarre. Is it possible that the producers are telling contestants what to say for laughs?
Generation Gap viewers think Kelly Ripa & crew stage the outcome
According to The Sun, the episode in question premiered on Thursday night, June 29. The episode began just like any other. Kelly Ripa showed the group of children and their grandparents photos of famous people. Contestants guess the celebrities. The answers frequently get laughs from the audience and viewers at home.
However, one child gave an answer that fans found to be just too wrong to be funny. In fact, many found the answer entirely weird.
Children today might not be too familiar with I Love Lucy. But one child’s answer had fans thinking the entire series might be rigged. When shown a photo of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, one child guessed that they were “the Avengers.”
Viewers lit up the internet with opinions and said there was no way even a young child would think the I Love Lucy stars were the Avengers. Many viewers came to the conclusion that the child was instructed to say that.
And that’s not the only complaint Generation Gap viewers had. Another Twitter user accused Kelly Ripa of influencing a small child during the “Toddlers Choice” segment.
“This is the dumbest show I’ve ever seen,” they wrote. “Toddlers Choice is meant to make the family mad at the kid. Kelly walks a couple inches ahead of the kid and obstructs their vision from the expensive prize in order to guide them to the cheap toy. She influences the choice. #GenerationGap”

Did the talk show hostess ditch Live for Generation Gap?
Based on social media chatter, fans don’t seem very impressed with Generation Gap right now. To push things a bit further, plenty of Kelly Ripa’s fans feel aggravated that many Live episodes have been pre-recorded for the summer.
Some fans speculated that Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos might actually be leaving Live. However, those rumors appear to be unfounded. As far as anyone knows, Kelly and Mark are just on vacation for the summer.
They’ll return to Live at some point. Until then, Kelly Ripa’s fans can follow her online and tune into Generation Gap to see her.

I think Generation gap is the worst TV show to ever hit the airwaves. The answers are beyond stupid. The kid’s answers sometimes don’t make sense at all. And I can’t believe the kids pick the cheap toy 99% of the time. Aren’t the parents smart enough to tell the kid before they go on the show to pick the car and they will buy them whatever the other prize is?
