TLC teases that Deon Derrico storms out.

Doubling Down With the Derricos viewers understand that things are wild at their home. With 14 kids, there is chaos, noise, and tons of responsibilities. Though things have been stressful, it shocked fans that the father would leave like this.
Doubling Down With the Derricos: Deon finally reaches his breaking point.
Ahead of the Doubling Down With the Derricos Season 4 premiere, TLC dropped another clip giving fans a peek at what the new episodes hold. One particular clip gives viewers a better look at the full story of Deon losing his cool and leaving the house.
In the clip, Deon is attempting to make a phone call inside his family’s home. Due to the noise level of his 14 kids, he has to hang up the phone. He tells his wife he “needs a break” and asks his kids to quiet down. Karen is trying her best to run her business while raising her 14 kids and managing the chaos. But that’s not so easy for Deon.
He says, “That really is annoying. I can’t focus. Very annoying. It feels like we’re in one room. Although we have different walls and different bedrooms and whatnot, the house is so small and there’s so many of us it feels like we’re all in one room.”
The Doubling Down With the Derricos dad reaches his breaking point and decides to leave. He says he “can’t deal with this” and complains about the boxes and clutter. He leaves the house and drives off in the family’s car, leaving Karen behind with all 14 kids. In a confessional, she explains that, as a mom, she doesn’t have the luxury to just leave like he did. She feels that she must pick up his slack.
Then, she adds, “I’m really pissed that Derrico walked out, because as a mother, as a woman, and, respectfully as a Black woman, that just don’t go.”
