Amy Roloff Gets Honest About Infertility, Pregnancy, & Fears
This week, Amy went live on Instagram and focused on motherhood due to it recently being Mother’s Day. In her live video, in which her friend Lisa joined her, she shared her personal experience with infertility.
Lisa pointed out that Amy had always wanted to be a mother but that she found it difficult to conceive her kids. Amy shared that she was sick as a child and that she questions whether that has anything to do with her difficulties getting pregnant.
Unfortunately, Amy Roloff’s cycles were irregular, which didn’t make it easy for her and her ex-husband Matt to conceive. She explained, “I wasn’t regular so I never knew when that time of the month was coming.”
After a couple of “hard and difficult” years, the LPBW couple ended up going through a fertility clinic. With this came the opportunity for her to become pregnant with multiples. As a little person, this had additional risks. She admitted, “That was worrisome. Being a little person, I knew I would be able to carry one baby but could I carry two? Could I carry three?”
Amy Roloff feared that she would have to reduce the pregnancy if she became pregnant with twins or triplets. Fortunately, everything worked out and she was able to have her twins, Jeremy and Zach with no issues.
