Andy Cohen Not A Fan Of Howie Mandel Post-Sandoval Interview
Andy Cohen is not happy with Howie Mandel at this moment and it was not just because he had Tom Sandoval on his podcast. He expressed his frustration with the AGT judge during a segment on WWHL Tuesday night. This came after the Vanderpump Rules star did a very candid interview with Mandel. So, what exactly did Cohen have to say about the situation and Howie, in particular? Read on for more details.
Andy Cohen Not A Fan Of Howie Mandel Post-Sandoval Interview
Tom Sandoval spilled it all on Howie Mandel’s podcast, Howie Mandel Does Stuff. In fact, Sandoval left no stone unturned which could have been a conflict of interest for Bravo. It seems that the network did not even know that Tom was doing this tell-all podcast so that is its own issue. However, reunion host Andy Cohen had a bone to pick with Mandel himself. For those who listened to or watched the podcast, it was clear that Mandel knew absolutely nothing about Vanderpump Rules or the scandal.
More so, it was his daughter who had to fill him in on all of the pertinent information. Furthermore, since Mandel was clueless about the scandal, he made Tom out to be an okay guy. By the time Andy Cohen’s WWHL aired, he had clearly heard the podcast and was enraged by Howie Mandel. According to ET, Andy Cohen named Mandel his “Jackhole of the Night.” He then went on to explain his reaosning behind this decision and it was completely valid.
“Tonight’s Jackhole [of the Night] goes to the fact that Howie Mandel apparently didn’t know what he was getting himself into with his interview of Tom Sandoval today. Because it seems like maybe he didn’t do his homework?” Cohen started. He then played some of the video from the pod for context. The host went on to add: “Now both Sandoval and Howie are being dragged on social media. Howie, you have to be careful before you take a side. Bravo fans are very passionate.”
Unknowledgable Host?
While interviewing Tom Sandoval, names from the Vanderpump cast would be dropped. However, Mandel had absolutely no clue who he was referring to. Moreover, he had no idea why this had become such a big deal. It was as if he was trying to pacify Sandoval’s actions. Admittedly, Howie and Tom had met prior and got along famously.
They also have a good friend in common, someone very involved with Tom’s band. Therefore, this was not the right forum whatsoever. When Tom Schwartz spilled the beans, he did it with Andy Cohen on WWHL. Yes, he caught a lot of heat but he was doing it on Bravo, which is his network. Perhaps had Tom Sandoval chatted with an informed viewer, Andy Cohen would not have been so livid.
Do you agree with Andy Cohen’s feelings about Howie Mandel? Should he have done his homework prior to interviewing Tom Sandoval? Let us know and watch Vanderpump Rules Wednesdays on Bravo.
